100% Hand Tuned Design From The Dirty South Since 2007!
They say everyone has a twin somewhere in this world, and lucky for us we don't look anything like each other. But when it comes to design, we definitely finish each others sentences. If I had to give you a scenario, I would say Grease and myself are more like an Arnold and Devito type scenario except I am the bigger and chubbier one, but also funnier so it all works out. Prior to starting Halftone Def Studios, Grease and I always admired each others work and it was very apparent that we both shared a deep love for the screen printed poster. Although neither one of us had actually done it before, we both knew what was involved in the process and it was those little things that made learning the process all the more desirable to us both. So we stuck our heads together, watched a couple of videos, read a couple of old books we found at a garage sale, bought some hinges, a sheet of wood, and we were off. We were also very fortunate to have some great friends along the way to teach us their little tips and tricks that we then developed into the process we use today. But don't let the work fool you, we either hit a snag or learn something new every time we print a poster, but it keeps us on our toes and makes the final product that much more special. However, screen printing isn't the only thing we do. Grease and I both come from a long background of tearing up the streets on a four wheeled piece of wood they call a skateboard and we have been designing them just about as long as we have be riding them.
